SPARK IN SCHOOLS

Spark work in both Primary and Secondary Schools. Our work can have a range of focuses and be tailored to a range of subjects, including:

- PSHE

- Careers, Interview technique and Public Speaking

- Drama

Through our programmes we aim to provide practical and explorational workshops to help students feel confident to express their opinions, with the tools and skills to convey themselves confidently.

Our main areas of focus in workshops can include:

- Female empowerment and confidence in public speaking for young women

- Gender Equality

- Bullying and Harassment

- Consent

- Feminism

Run by trained actors and public speakers, our sessions can be bespoke in length and content.

Overall, our core aim in sessions is to build confidence in young people, and to help them begin to address important issues within society and tackle them head-on.

For more information on our two core programmes, see below.

CHANGEMAKERS

Changemakers is a new programme working primarily in all-girls schools. The aim of the programme is initially to educate participants about the inherent inequities and inequalities within society for women. The programme then offers a practical learning opportunity; giving students vocal and physical skills with which to convey themselves confidently and assertively - aiming to help boost their confidence in achieving their life goals.

Changemakers have the confidence to smash glass ceilings and to be the change they want to see in the world.

STAND UP, SPEAK OUT

Stand Up, Speak Out challenges issues of gender inequality in society and in the media through discussion, debate and drama.

Working in both Primary and Secondary schools, it aims to help participants understand the inequalities for both women and men in society, and to help them see how things could be better.

This is important Gender education for all ages.

“I now fully understand how unequal our society is and it makes me more empowered.”
